In his opening speech, Ali Kopuz evaluated the growth data for the last quarter of 2020 and 2020 in general. He noted that according to preliminary indicators, the improvement in industrial production and the momentum for growth would continue in the coming months.

In the first agenda item of the meeting, Çağatay Özden, head of the Department of South Asian Countries from the Ministry of Commerce's Directorate General for International Agreements and the European Union, and the East Asia and Pacific Countries Department Chief Ambassador Elçin İdis provided information on RCEP, ASEAN, and Belt&Road issues.

In the second part, the Proposed Amendments to the Law on the Regulation of Retail Trade and its Possible Effects on the Sector were discussed comprehensively with the participation of TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department Head A. Saygın Baban.

Councilors also consulted on the difficulties in supplying glass lids and what can be done.

The next session of the Council is scheduled for April.
