Nurten Öztürk, President of the Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), and the accompanying female entrepreneurs visited Anıtkabir ahead of the International Women's Day Event on March 8th and paid their respects in the presence of Atatürk.

TOBB KGK President Öztürk wrote in the Anıtkabir Memorial:

“Great Atatürk,

As the Women Entrepreneurs Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, we are here on International Women's Day on March 8th.

As Entrepreneurial Women of Turkey, we work hard for more production, more investment, more employment.

Just as no bird can fly with one wing, societies cannot rise to the level of civilizations without men and women standing shoulder to shoulder and taking part in the production process together.

We are aware of our duties and responsibilities as women entrepreneurs.

In addition to growing women's entrepreneurship, our aim is to be a role model for our young girls who have started life and to direct them towards entrepreneurship.

Dear Atatürk,

We commemorate all your comrades and martyrs who took part in our Great War of Independence under your leadership with gratitude.

We respectfully and gratefully remember all those who contributed to the establishment and development of the Republic of Turkey.

Our country will continue to march towards a bright tomorrow on the path of civilization.

This path you set for us is our greatest ideal. May your soul be blessed.”
