‘Tax audits’ message from Hisarcıklıoğlu

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in a statement made on his social media account, stated that they support the fight against informality, pointed out that the tax system should be fair and transparent and emphasized that it should not discourage entrepreneurs from working.
Hisarcıklıoğlu gave the following views in his message: “We are not against tax audits. We support the fight against the informal economy. The tax system should be fair and transparent. It should not discourage entrepreneurs from working. Tax revenues cannot be increased by placing a tax officer at the door of every business, every factory and by taking police measures. Equity cannot be ensured,” he said.
