The General Assembly was attended by Albanian Finance and Economy Minister Anila Denaj, Turkish Ambassador to Tirana Murat Ahmet Yörük, Tirana New York University Rector Prof. Dr. İsmail Kocayusufoğlu, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry President İbrahim Burkay and Customs Tourism Enterprises Inc. President Arif Parmaksız.
The meeting, attended by representatives of Union of Balkan Chambers member countries, exchanged views on the economic situation and potential opportunities in the Balkans.
As part of the meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania President Ines Mucostepa signed the Turkey-Albania Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum establishment agreement in the presence of Albanian Finance and Economy Minister Anila Denaj.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, accompanied by Tirana Ambassador Murat Ahmet Yörük, Bursa CCI President İbrahim Burkay and GTİ Co. Inc. President Arif Parmaksız visited Albanian Finance and Economy Minister Anila Denaj at her office.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his assessments following his meeting with Albanian Finance and Economy Minister Anila Denaj, stated that the meeting between the Turkish and Albanian business communities was canceled due to the earthquake in Albania, but it would be held as soon as possible.
Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the meeting with Minister Denaj has been significant, especially in regards to promoting strategic investments, said “We have received information from the minister to raise awareness of the Turkish business community relating to strategic investments in Albania. Albania's future is very bright. As the Turkish business community, we want to be with our brothers and sisters in Albania.”
Minister Denaj said the TOBB delegation's visit is important in strengthening relations between chambers of commerce and evaluating new cooperation opportunities.
Denaj said, noting that they aim to establish a platform for direct communication between the two countries' businesses next year, “Turkish companies can come to Albania and seize opportunities in key sectors there.”
Reporting that there are around 500 Turkish enterprises in Albania and they are also addressing the challenges faced by Turkish businesses at the meeting, Denaj said that the government is working to solve Turkish businesses' problems in a timely manner.
Denaj said the government's stimulus policies have been offered to all foreign investors, including Turkey, and that these incentives could be used even more, given the proximity and experience of the Turkish and Albanian peoples.
Denaj added that the TOBB delegation has been informed about investment opportunities in areas such as tourism, agriculture, spare parts manufacturing and textile industry.

As part of his visit to Tirana, Hisarcıklıoğlu met with participants of the TOBB Turkish-Speaking Entrepreneurs Program in Albania. They exchanged views on Turkey-Albania relations.
