TOBB Turkey Civil Aviation Council meeting was held in İstanbul, presided over by Council Chair Teoman Tosun with the participation of high level representatives of public, private sector and non-governmental organizations.​

Council Chair Tosun, who made the opening speech, made a general evaluation of civil aviation developments in 2016 and evaluated them for 2017.

Speaking in regards to the troubles with Russia, the Council Chair reported that the problems experienced in tourism directly affect the sector and that the number of passengers and voyages is considerably reduced compared to the year 2015.
