In his opening remarks, Barut emphasized unity and solidarity, highlighting the necessity of collective action for the sector’s sustainable development. He noted that strengthening cooperation among stakeholders plays a crucial role in resolving the challenges faced.
Following the opening, an update was provided on activities carried out over the past year. The activities carried out during this period were evaluated, and the current state of the sector was discussed.
Later in the meeting, Gökhan Yazıcı, Director of the Department of Chemical, Health, Textile, and Wood Products Industry at the General Directorate of Industry under the Ministry of Industry and Technology, provided information regarding the rates and coefficients published under the new Domestic Product Regulation. Information was shared regarding the content of the regulation, its implementation principles, and its potential impacts on the sector.
Subsequently, evaluations were conducted regarding licensing and pricing issues. In this context, the sector’s demands were addressed, and it was decided to bring the relevant matters to the attention of the competent authorities through high-level contacts.
