Türkiye Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Council Meeting in İstanbul

The meeting of the Türkiye Petroleum and Petroleum Products Industry Council, organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was attended by Engin Yeşil, a member of the TOBB Board of Directors, Ali Rıza Çelik, Head of the Education and Certification Department at the General Directorate of Transportation Services Regulation under the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Asuman Girgin, Head of the Soil Pollution Control Branch at the General Directorate of Environmental Management under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and was chaired by Council President Ahmet Erdem.​

The Council meeting, which began with opening remarks by Engin Yeşil, Member of the TOBB Board of Directors, and Council Chairman Ahmet Erdem, addressed the impacts of the Hormuz Strait crisis on the sector, current developments and areas requiring improvement regarding the National Vehicle Identification System (UTTS), the draft Regulation on the Control of Point-Source Soil Pollution, and the mandatory implementation of the Professional Competency Certificate for Hazardous Materials Transport Drivers, and concluded with an informational presentation on the Competition Law.
