TOBB International Health Tourism Council met in Ankara

The Türkiye International Health Tourism Council, operating under the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), re-elected its vice chair. Temel Uzlu, a Board Member representing Romatem Physical Therapy Center, was elected as Vice Chair of the Council.​

The Council’s elective meeting was held at the Union Headquarters under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Hakan Ülken to elect the Council’s Presidium and discuss current issues in the sector.

In his opening remarks, Hakan Ülken noted that despite being a young council established in 2021, the Türkiye International Health Tourism Council has made a significant impact in the sector through its work in a short time. He thanked the council for its efforts to identify the needs and expectations of health tourism at the regional level through regional meetings.

- Election of the Council Vice President

Following the opening remarks, the election for the position of Vice Chair of the Assembly was held. Temel Uzlu, a member of the Board of Directors of the Romatem Physical Therapy Center, was elected as Vice Chair of the Assembly.

The Assembly’s 2025 activities and a statistical analysis of the state of Türkiye’s health tourism sector were shared with the assembly members by Assembly Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Öztan.

Discussions were held regarding the identification of sectoral issues and the formulation of recommendations and requests to be submitted to the General Directorate of Health Services. The meeting concluded after the presiding board was authorized.
