Speaking at the opening of the meeting, TOBB Vice Chairman Tamer Kıran emphasized the importance of strengthening the economic partnership between the European Union and Türkiye, saying:

“Türkiye’s approach to regional connectivity is pragmatic, green, digital, and business-focused. We call for closer cooperation with financial institutions, development banks, export credit agencies, and private investors to mobilize capital and accelerate implementation. With the right financial structures and partnerships, the Turkish business community is ready to turn connectivity into a competitive advantage for both companies and investors.”

At the opening of the meeting, Serdar Öztürk, Deputy Director General of the European Union Presidency, Kerem Dönmez, Director General of Foreign Economic Relations at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and Gert-Jan Koopman, Director General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighborhood (DG ENEST), each delivered a speech.
