Vocational Training Conference at Adana Industrial Campus

The “Vocational Training Conference” within the scope of the EULEP – European Learning Experience Platform Project was held at the Adana Chamber of Industry.​

In his opening speech at the conference, Mustafa Kemal Günay, Head of the TOBB Real Sector R&D and Application Department, said that the EULEP Project aims to increase companies' competencies in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and change management through the developed training modules.

Günay said that the main goal of the project is to create mechanisms that will ensure the modules developed remain up-to-date and sustainable, and to ensure system integration, particularly in vocational training.

The other opening speeches of the conference were delivered by Zeki Kıvanç, Chairman of the Adana Chamber of Industry Board of Directors, and Ahmet Karaveli, Adana Provincial Director of İŞKUR, highlighting the importance of cooperation between industry and education.

Following the opening speeches, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Aktaş and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Fatih Karakaya, who contributed to the creation of the project's training modules, gave detailed presentations to participants on the effects of artificial intelligence, social transformation, and virtual reality, which were addressed within the scope of the project, on vocational education.

Gamze Atmaca from the Vocational Qualifications Authority, Çiğdem Yüzgeç, Director of Vocational Education and Certification, and Murat Çelik, Seyhan District Director of National Education, also provided information on current legislation and local education strategies.

The effects of digital transformation in vocational education were discussed in the panel held in the final part of the conference.

At the end of the conference, which brought together the industrial and vocational education ecosystem, participants' questions were answered.
