Preferential Origin and MEDOS Training at TOBB

Decision No. 1/2023 of the Joint Committee of the Regional Convention on Pan-European-Mediterranean Preferential Origin Rules No. 7556 and Decision No. 2006/10895 on the Principles Regarding the Implementation of the Customs Union Established Between Türkiye and the European Community, which is expected to be updated at the beginning of 2026, a training program was organized on November 12, 2025, under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade. ​​

Detailed information on the aforementioned legislation was provided to employees responsible for the approval of origin and circulation certificates at our Chambers by Atilla Bastırmacı, Deputy Director General for International Agreements and the European Union at the Ministry of Trade, Department Head Talip Engin Kaya, and Trade Specialist Çağatay Çalışkan.

On November 13, 2025, consultations were held with the relevant employees of the Chambers regarding the TOBB Origin and Circulation Documents Automation System (MEDOS) and the legislation on origin and circulation documents.
