Faik Yavuz attended the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought

On June 17, World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, Faik Yavuz, Treasurer Member of the Board of Directors representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the event held at Ankara İlbank Social Facilities with the participation of Fatma Varank, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
The World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought on June 17, declared by the United Nations, is celebrated every year to raise awareness about the sustainable use of natural resources in the world and soil loss. The theme for 2025 was determined as “Our Soil, Our Future.”
In this context, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry during the Desertification and Drought Day program with the theme "Keep Soil Alive, Green Hope" organized by the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change.
An exhibition of paintings made by students on the meaning of the day was visited afterwards.
