Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of TOBB, stated in his speech here that the report offers data-driven predictions, analyses and strategies that will shed light on the construction and construction machinery sectors for 5 years.
Noting that the machinery, construction and infrastructure sectors have strategic importance in terms of exports and employment with their high value-added production capacity, Yavuz said, “I believe that this study will be a very important reference point in shaping concrete policies that will shape the future of our industry.”

TOBB Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Council Chairman Kutlu Karavelioğlu pointed to Türkiye’s potential in machinery exports and said, “In the last 24 years, world machinery exports have tripled, while Türkiye’s machinery exports have increased 16 times. Türkiye is one of the world’s largest machinery markets.”
Speaking here, Karavelioğlu said that world trade reached 33 trillion dollars last year with a record increase of 3.7 percent, and that the service and project design services of machinery and facilities have a certain share in this.
Stating that Türkiye’s most competitive products have been machinery for years, Karavelioğlu said: “In the last 24 years, world machinery exports have tripled and Türkiye’s machinery exports have increased 16 times. Türkiye is one of the world’s largest machinery markets.”
Erdal Eren, President of the TOBB Türkiye International Contracting Council and the Turkish Contractors Association, said that the event will shed light on the future not only for the construction equipment sector but also for construction, infrastructure and all related sectors.
Pointing out that the world is going through a multidimensional transformation process, Eren said, “This transformation we are going through makes it necessary to reconsider not only the activities of our sectors, but also their medium and long-term strategic plans.
Pointing out that competitiveness can be maintained by analyzing risks and opportunities in a timely manner and drawing appropriate road maps, Eren used the following expressions.
“Concepts such as sustainability, green energy and carbon neutral targets are reshaping the way of doing business. As a part of this vision, we are making every effort to expand the portfolio of our sector. I would also like to emphasize once again that cooperation between the public, private sector and non-governmental organizations is vital in this transformation process.”
