Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Turkey - European Union (EU) Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) Turkey Wing Members and the the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors visited Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar. Taking part in the visit, during which the Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler was also present were: The Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Turkey Tradesmen and Artisans Confederation (TESK), Workers’ Rights Confederation of Trade Unions (HAK-İŞ), Turkey Public Workers Unions Confederation (KAMU-SEN), Public Servants Confederation of Trade Unions (MEMUR-SEN), Turkey Employer Confederation of Trade Unions (TİSK), the Confederation of Labor Unions of Turkey (TURK-İŞ), Turkey Union of Chambers of Agriculture (TZOB) presidents and representatives as well as the TOBB Board Members.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the İMEAK Chamber of Maritime Commerce (İMEAK CMC) İskenderun Branch President Kemal Kutlu and councilors.​

Speaking at the consultative meeting jointly organized by the İskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Commodity Exchange, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the Hassa -Dörtyol Tunnel will revive in the commercial district of the Silk Road, “This tunnel just will not save money for Iskenderun; it will be the gateway to the world for Diyarbakır, Gaziantep Adıyaman and the entire region. Remember, if the opinion leaders of the city act together and together, there is success in that city.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, together with Alexander the Protocol, laid a wreath at İskenderun Ataturk Monument to celebrate October 29th Republic Day. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they commemorate Atatürk and his fellow soldiers with prayers and gratitude and spoke with those in attendance at the ceremony. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu Tosyali visited İskenderun Mayor Fatih Tosyalı at his office. Hisarcıklıoğlu wished Tosyalı success in his duty and stated that they are happy that one of the business world will undertake this duty.​

İskenderun Technical University presented the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu with an honorary doctorate. Rector of Iskenderun Technical University Dr. Türkay Dereli stated that the University Senate deemed Hisarcıklıoğlu worthy of a doctorate for establishing TOBB ETU, which pioneered the meeting of technology with the economy, and for its studies in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation and technology management.​

In his October 29th Republic Day message, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that our most important shared value that we have is the Republic, “As millions who love their country, who believe in independence and freedom, we will relay this sacred charge we have received from our ancestors it to new generations by taking moving further in the race of civilization.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening ceremony of the “Dentadal's Dental Clinic” of TOBB Ankara Women Entrepreneurs Council Vice President Rukiye Göçer.​

M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), attended the meeting hosted by Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the International Olive Harvest Festival organized by the Ayvalık Chamber of Commerce for the 15th time this year and toured the stands. ​
