Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Turkish Automotive Council convened at İzmir Chamber of Commerce with the participation of members of council under the co-chair of TOBB Board Member Mahmut Özgener and Council President Yüksel Mermer. ​

The number of newly established companies and cooperatives increased by 33,48% and 10,68% while the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 0,86% according to the previous month. The number of closed companies decreased by 3,77% while the number of closed cooperatives and sole proprietorships increased by 95,51% and 105,61% respectively according to the previous month.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) & German-Turkish Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) & Advantage Austria Reception, which brought together representatives of German and Austrian companies investing in Turkey, was held at the TOBB Twin Towers.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz met with Youssouf Moussa Dawaleh, Chairman of Djibouti Chamber of Commerce and Pan Africa Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting held at TOBB Twin Towers, ideas were exchanged for the development of economic relations between the Djibouti Chamber of Commerce and TOBB. ​

On 18.02.2020, a full-day training on Personal Data Protection Act Law – VERBİS Registration as well as the Tax and Premium Service Declaration Information Seminar took place at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) with the participation of the secretaries-general of chambers and commodity exchanges and the personnel responsible for accounting and human resources. ​

Commodity Exchanges Automation System (TİBOS) Applied Training Program was implemented by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.​

The 2020 opening event of the EU Information Centers Network in Turkey Support Project was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) with the participation of EU Delegation to Turkey President Christian Berger.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Organized Industry Zones Supreme Board (OSBÜK) and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources have initiated the first of the Energy Efficiency Training sessions for industrialists consuming 500 TEP and above energy. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Member Hakan Ülken attended the Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum held in Islamabad on the occasion of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's visit to Pakistan. Before the Forum, Ülken also met with representatives of the Turkish side of the Turkey-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum in Islamabad. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Road Passenger Transportation Council convened in Istanbul to elect the Executive Council and to make the overall assessment of the sector under the chairmanship of TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran. ​
