The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, following the 34th COMCEC Ministerial Meeting, met with Islamic Chamber Secretary General Yousef H. Khalawi. TOBB Board of Directors Vice President Tamer Kıran also attended the meeting held at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building. ​

Women will write the future

“The Women Writing the Future Project” promotion meeting was hosted by Emine Erdoğan, the wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at the Beştepe National Cultural and Congress Center. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the success of Women Writing the Future will destroy the perception that technology is an area belonging to men.​

Women entrepreneurs Visit Hisarcıklıoğlu

Tekirdağ, İstanbul, Kayseri and Kırklareli Women Entrepreneur Councils visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office. Hisarcıklıoğlu exchanged views with women entrepreneurs and had commemorative photographs taken. The visits were closed to the press. ​

The Asia-Pacific Economic Summit, hosted by TOBB President and CACCI Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, ended after several parallel sessions, bilateral business meetings, council meetings, meeting and cooperation talks.​

The center of gravity of the world economy is shifting to Far Asia

TOBB President and CACCI Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the 32nd CACCI Conference themed “Asia: Expanding Borders,” attended by the Minister of Commerce, Ruhsar Pekcan, said, “The Mediterranean was the ocean of the old world. The Atlantic is today's ocean. The Pacific is the ocean of the future. The center of gravity of the world economy is shifting to Far Asia.” Pointing out that the Pacific century has begun, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “All manner of products are produced here, in different quality and scales. With over 3 billion consumers, the largest global market is here. Both economic growth and the increase in imports of goods and services are above the world average. Therefore, the Asia Pacific region is becoming increasingly important for the global economy. It has a decisive power in the course of the world economy.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu re-elected CACCI Vice President

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been re-elected Vice President of CACCI (Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry). The Indian businessman Samir Modi took over the role of CACCI President from Jemal Inaishvili.​
