Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Tamer Kıran attended the 2nd Istanbul International Ombudsman's Conference held at Dolmabahçe Palace with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. ​

The opening meeting of the 3rd Agriculture Summit was held on 18.11.2019 at the Ankara Congresium Cultural Center. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli gave the opening speech of the opening ceremony attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Ali Kopuz and Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz representing TOBB.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Selçuk Öztürk attended the Investment Conference organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture in cooperation with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi on November 15th, 2019. A delegation consisting of Chamber and Commodity Exchange Presidents and businesspeople from Turkey attended the conference.​

On November 14, 2019, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Selçuk Öztürk attended the 27th ECO CCI Executive Committee Meeting hosted by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Karachi. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail attended the Executive Board Meeting as the guest of honor.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Member Cihat Lokmanoğlu attended the reception to commemorate the 36th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Member Cihat Lokmanoğlu attended the Turkey-Canada Business Forum held at the TOBB twin Towers. In his speech he put forth that, “Protectionism harms trade and relations. We think that Canada should now abolish its quotas for iron and steel and pasta.”​

The meeting of the Turkish Education Council was chaired by Council President Dr. Yusuf Ekinci at the TOBB Social Facilities with the participation of representatives of public and private sector organizations and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Emre Bilgili, General Manager of Ministry of National Education (MEB) Special Education and Guidance Services. ​

“Waste Import Workshop” was held in Antalya with the aim of strengthening waste imports practices, developing and exchanging information with relevant stakeholder groups, as well as negotiating the work and procedures related to the Notification of Import Controlled Hazardous Waste for the Preservation of the Environment.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkish Road Passenger Transport Council President Mustafa Yıldırım and Turkish Sector Councils Director Ahmet Altıntuğlu visited Mahmut Gürses, who was appointed to the General Directorate of Road Regulation of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, visited auspiciously. ​

The ECO CCI Expert Committee Meetings which will take place between the 3rd and 14th of November 2019 began in Karachi, hosted by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan (FPCCI). ​
