Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and his accompanying delegation went to Azerbaijan. A briefing was held for the delegation in Baku, which includes business opportunities in Azerbaijan. The meeting held under the leadership of Turkey's Ambassador to Baku Erkan Özral and Commercial Counselor Ahmet Ataker focused on to enhance bilateral trade opportunities.​

A letter explaining how Operation Peace Spring is a legitimate operation by Turkey in accordance with international law signed by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu is being sent out to 190 counterpart business institutions throughout the world, to the largest 7 business organizations on 5 continents; Eurochambres in Europe, Asia-Pacific Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Asia, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce Industry, the Union of Arab Chambers, the Union of African Chambers in Africa, the US Chambers of America and the Union of Latin American Chambers.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Councilor Briefing Seminar. Hisarcıklıoğlu gave a message of unity and solidarity to council members in his speech and said, “Never alienate each other.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, attended the 4th International Highways, Bridges and Tunnels Trade Fair held at the ATO Congresium Exhibition Congresses under the auspices of the Transport and Infrastructure Ministry, and toured the booths. ​

Turkey Bar Association, Rights Workers Union Confederation (HAK-İŞ), Civil Servants Trade Union Confederation (MEMUR-SEN), Retirees Association of Turkey, Turkey Tradesmen and Artisans Confederation (TESK), Turkey Confederation of Trade Unions (TÜRK-İŞ), Turkey Employers Confederation of Trade Unions (TISK), Turkey Public Workers Unions Confederation (KAMU-SEN), the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Turkey Chambers of Agriculture Union (TZOB) presidents and representatives expressed full support for Operation Peace Spring at a press conference.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and the European Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended to EUROCHAMBRES General Council in Rome.​

TOBB, has taken action to promote Turkey's fastest growing companies at national and international level as well as strengthening their connections. The Turkey 100 program will determine the fastest growing companies.​

Speaking at the “Trade Wars, Brexit and the Future of Multilateral Trading System” meeting organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Turkey National Committee, TOBB President and the ICC Turkey National Committee Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “There are no winners to trade wars; we all lose. Therefore, the private sector should raise its voice against protectionism and trade barriers and strengthen its persuasion efforts.”​

Speaking at the ‘Role of Intellectual Property for a Strong National Economy Summit,' organized by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Turkey National Committee, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and ICC Turkey National Committee Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, said, “On the one hand, we have to produce policies to support those who produce ideas, and on the other hand, to protect those ideas.” Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the infringement of intellectual property rights is theft.​
