Attending the INCOTERMS (Forms of Delivery used in Foreign Trade) 2020 Mena Region Opening Summit, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Turkish National Committee President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu underlined that they want to be more active in global trade, adding, “For this reason, we have to know the rules of trade first.”​

Speaking at the symposium, which focused on the reflections on mediation of the Singapore Convention signed by 51 countries with Turkey, M. Rifat Hisarciklioglu, president of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), pointed out that a new era had begun in the resolution of international trade disputes, adding, "The main obstacle to the mediation establishment was the issue of cross-border enforcement if the agreement were to be reached. With the Singapore Convention, this issue is largely addressed.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu. After the meeting held at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Minister Kasapoğlu also chatted with students. ​

In Berlin for the 14th Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TATSO) Ordinary General Assembly, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him attended the consultation and information meeting. ​

Speaking at the panel on “The Role of Arbitration in Increasing Trade and Investments in the Islamic World” at the 35th meeting of the COMCEC (Standing Committee on Economic and Commercial Co-operation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation), the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA), Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that they have taken a step of historical importance and established the Islamic Arbitration Center. Hisarcıklıoğlu, “İstanbul is hosting the center. Our government has provided support. We as TOBB allocated space. We've prepared all the opportunities for it to work in the best way possible. As someone who has seen the arbitration personally, I'd like to say this. I believe that this center will further raise the trade and investments between us."​
