The Institutional Development Program Training continued on 3rd and 4th of February, 2017.​

The Turkish E-Commerce Council meeting was held at TOBB Plaza under the chairmanship of Council Chair Öget Kantarcı. In the meeting, priority topics of industry were discussed to determine Turkey's E-Commerce roadmap.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) announced the statistics for the year 2016. In 2015, a total of 419 fairs were organized in the country. This number has reached 426 in the past year. In 2016, the number of fair visitors increased by 1,010,107 compared to 2015.​

In January, 2,626 capacity reports were approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. 2,626 capacity report approved in January; 756 in İstanbul, 201 in İzmir, 164 in Ankara, 137 in Bursa, 98 in Konya and Gaziantep, 71 in Kocaeli, 65 in Adana , 57 in Denizli, 54 in Kayseri.​

Turkey Durable Consumer Goods Council held its first meeting in 2017 under the chairmanship of Council Chair Fatih Kemal Ebiçlioğlu in TOBB Twin Towers.​

Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Hakan Ülken attended the business forum on “Searching for Excellence in Mechanical Engineering,” on behalf of TOBB in Liepaja, the industrial city of Latvia.​

Through TOBB, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety cooperation, construction contractors and suppliers of temporary work equipment were briefed at the TOBB Social Facilities on February 2, 2017. ​

The TOBB Arbitration Committee held its first meeting of 2017 Ankara. At the meeting, topics on the Committee's agenda were evaluated.​

On 30th & 31st January 2017, Turkish Ministry of Economy, General Directorate of Exports, Directorate of SME and Cluster Support Department with the participation of experts from the Department of URGE Principles and Practice Training continued. Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Gaziantep Chamber of Industry also contributed to the training with the presentation of "Good Practice Example". ​

The “Data Analysis for Effective Border Management” slogan was set under the theme of “Data Analysis” as a part of the "World Customs Day" celebrations initiated by the World Customs Organization (WCO).​
