Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Within the framework of the TOBB Employees Qualified Orientation Program, GS1 Turkey Foundation, Message Management System Inc. and TOBB Compliance Inc. were informed about the activities by General Manager Elif Müftüoğlu, General Manager Dr. Tolga Tüfekçi and General Manager Dr. Onur Yüksel, respectively. ​

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and KOSGEB, KOSGEB Energy Efficiency Green Transformation Support Program Seminar was held online.​

The project, in which TOBB and the Association of American Companies (AmCham Turkey) took action to support entrepreneurs in the US market with the support of UPS, continues at full speed. The application processes for the project, where mentoring services will be provided to the target companies in the process of cross-border e-commerce to the USA, have ended. Following the introductory meeting where the selected companies discussed the road map with their mentors, the marathon that will result in cross-border e-commerce to the USA has begun.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Transportation and Logistics Council convened via video conference under TOBB Vice President Tamer Kıran, TOBB Board Member M. Cihat Lokmanoğlu and Council President Çetin Nuhoğlu. ​

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the “Workshop on Supporting the Improvement of the Representation of Women in Boards of Directors in Turkey” was held with the participation of TOBB Board of Directors member Cengiz Günay and EBRD Turkey Director Arvid Tuerkner.​

The delegation headed by D8 Secretary General Ambassador Isiaka Abdulkadir Imam visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). During the visit, the activities to be organized in cooperation with the D-8 Secretariat and TOBB on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization were discussed. ​

Vakıfbank Pandemic Support Loan Information Seminar was held online. In the seminar held in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and Vakıfbank, the Pandemic Support Loan offered to 3 different target groups within the framework of the Emergency Company Support Project signed between the World Bank and VakıfBank in order to minimize the negative effects of Covid-19 and to support the SMEs most affected by the pandemic was explained. At the end of the seminar, the questions of the participants were answered.​

In cooperation with TOBB, TEPAV and TOBB ETU, the achievements and developments of 100-year-old enterprises that have left their mark on the Turkish economy will be shared with the public. The “100-Year Enterprises – Century-Old Sycamores of the Turkish Business World Project”, aims to bring the achievements of the Republic and the rooted history of the private sector in Turkey to the forefront, while the experiences and achievements of 100-year-old enterprises in terms of being role models are brought to the forefront.​

The Second Common Mind Meeting by TOBB Ankara Women Entrepreneurs Council was held on May 14th at Bolu Koru Hotel. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Veysel Tiryaki, Ankara Chamber of Industry President Nurettin Özdebir, Bolu Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Türker Ateş and TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Presidents from the surrounding provinces participated in the Common Mind Meeting, which was held for the first time in 2021.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Treasurer Faik Yavuz evaluated the concept of Digital Obesity by attending the 5th International Education Forum organized by TEDMEM, the think tank of the Turkish Education Association (TED).​
