Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council Southeast Anatolia Regional Meeting and the Entrepreneurship Summit in the Age of Artificial Intelligence were hosted by the Siirt Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Yafez Turhan, Chair of the TOBB Siirt Young Entrepreneurs Council.​​

The National Carbon Pricing Expert Workgroup Meeting was held in Ankara. The meeting, coordinated by IKI Türkiye, GIZ Türkiye, and the Presidency for Climate Change, addressed developments regarding the 2026-2027 pilot phase of the Turkish Emissions Trading System (ETS), the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, and the national offset mechanism.​

The TOBB Türkiye Retail Council meeting was held in İstanbul in a hybrid format, chaired by Council President Alp Önder Özpamukçu and attended by TOBB Board of Directors member Cengiz Günay.​

Dr. Pınar NACAK, Director of the TOBB Commodity Exchanges, attended the Learning and Policy Dialogue Event on Responsible Agricultural Investment and Sustainable Rural Development, held at the FAO Türkiye Country Office and attended by FAO and FAO Türkiye representatives as well as partner institutions and organizations, on behalf of TOBB. ​​

As part of the visit to Türkiye by a delegation from the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, a “Seminar on Business and Investment Opportunities in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation” was held at TOBB.​

The TRNC Güzelyurt Cold Storage Facility, implemented under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was inaugurated at a ceremony held in the TRNC with the participation of Cevdet Yılmaz, Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye. TOBB was represented at the ceremony by Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the TOBB Board of Directors.​

The Workshop on Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers, organized by the TOBB Türkiye Education Council, was held at the TOBB Twin Towers.​

During the first eight months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies and the number of sole proprietorships increased by 6,4% and 2,1% while the number of cooperatives decreased by 22,5%.​

The Seminar on Investment Opportunities in the Czech Republic, organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), was held online.​​

The TIR Committee of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) convened via videoconference, chaired by Tamer KIRAN, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, with the participation of TIR Committee members.​
