Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Glassware Council Meeting was held by video conference method with the participation of Ali Kopuz, Vice President of the Board of Directors of TOBB, and intense interest of senior representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations under the chairmanship of Murat Kolbaşı, Chairman of the Assembly.​

With the initiative of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, the request to declare November 26 as “United Nations World Sustainable Transport Day,” which was brought to the agenda of the United Nations by Türkiye, was discussed and accepted at the UN General Assembly in New York.​

Sarajevo Business Forum 3rd Sarajevo Halal Fair, organized for the twelfth time this year, was held in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 17-18 May 2023 with the participation of over 1500 politicians and private sector representatives from 50 countries.​

During the first four months of the year 2023 the number of newly established Companies and the number of cooperatives increased by 2,4% and 53,1% while the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 7,2% with respect to the same period of the year 2022.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Chemical Industry Council met under the chairmanship of Timur Erk, President of the Council, with the participation of TOBB Vice Presisdent Ayhan Zeytinoğlu.​

Hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, a webinar was organized with the representatives of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and Turkmenistan Guarantor Organization (Turkmen International Road Transport Association - THADA) for the TIR Carnet Holders of Türkiye.​

TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Central Anatolia Regional Meeting was held at Kırşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry chaired by Gülper Gündüz Yassı, Regional Representative and President of TOBB Nevşehir Women Entrepreneurs Council, and hosted by Hatice Kangal, President of TOBB Kırşehir Women Entrepreneurs Council.​

In the first 4 months of 2023, the number of Domestic Goods Certificates approved increased by 8.2 percent compared to the same period last year. 1089 Domestic Goods Certificates were approved by TOBB in April 2023 according to the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35) prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in accordance with Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) in April 2023 decreased by 22.5% (1,157) compared to April 2022 (5,151) and totaling 3,994.​

In order to examine the transit document distribution procedures and Ro-Ro operation on site, the officials of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) International Transit Document Directorate made inspections at the Pendik Transit Document Distribution Office operating under the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping.​
