Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Waste Import Processes Consultation Meeting was held at the Twin Towers with the participation of Zeki Kıvanç, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), Hakkı Karabörklü, Director General of Product Safety and Inspection at the Ministry of Trade, Recep Akdeniz, Director General of Environmental Management at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and Cihan Tatar, Director General of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permits and Inspection.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) TIR Committee convened via video conference under the chairmanship of Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of TOBB, with the participation of TIR Committee members.​

Türkiye-United Arab Emirates Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) 1st Term Meeting was held in İstanbul with the participation of Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.​

The elective meeting of the Türkiye Packaging Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) was held in İstanbul under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanç and Engin Yeşil with the participation of public, non-governmental organizations and private sector representatives in order to elect the Council Presidency and discuss sectoral problems.​

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, a Moto-Courier Workshop was organized at TOBB Twin Towers to discuss the position of moto-courier activities on legal grounds.​

Türkiye - Germany Economic and Trade Joint Commission (ETOK/JETCO) 4th Term Meeting was held with the participation of Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and German Minister of Economy and Climate Protection Robert Habeck.​

The International Conference on Mutual Recognition of Halal Certificates was held in İstanbul within the scope of the “Raising Awareness on Multilateral / Mutual Recognition in the Axis of OIC/SMICC Halal Standards” Project, organized in cooperation with the Halal Accreditation Agency and the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.​

In the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhammedov, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the “Türkiye-Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Board Member Ş. Aziz Karamehmetoğlu attended the 4th Tbilisi Silk Road Forum held in Georgia on October 26-27, 2023.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Creative Industries Council meeting was held in İstanbul with the participation of TOBB Board Member Işınsu Kestelli and under the chairmanship of Council President Ali Ata Kavame.​
