Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

During the first nine months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies increased by 6,5% while and the number of sole proprietorships and the number of cooperatives decreased by 0,1% and 25,1%.​

Ulrika Funered, Sweden’s Ambassador to Ankara, visited Mustafa Bayburtlu, Deputy Secretary General of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), at his office.​

The meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) HVAC Council was attended by Selçuk Öztürk, Member of the TOBB Board of Directors; Murat Yazgan, Deputy Director General for Industry; Fatih Özçınar, Director of the Machinery and Electronics Industry Department at the General Directorate of Industry; Volkan Polat, Head of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring Department at the Climate Change Directorate, and his team, as well as representatives from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), under the chairmanship of Council President Mehmet Hakkı Şanal.​​​

The 29th Annual Consumer Awards Ceremony was held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) with the participation of Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the TOBB Board of Directors.​

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gülçin Türkmen Sarıyıldız, Chair of the Türkiye Health Services Council, attended the 13th Health Summit held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Ankara on October 15–16, 2026, with the aim of finding solutions to the challenges facing the private healthcare sector and contributing to the sustainability of our healthcare system. ​​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) hosted a delegation from the Belgian Embassy at a meeting organized to further Türkiye-Belgium economic relations.​

The “Geographical Indications and Local Heritage: Tradition to the Future” commemorative and vision program, organized by the Turkish Research Network for Local Products and Geographical Indications (YÜCİTA) to mark its 15th anniversary, was held in Antalya. Ali Çandır, a member of the Board of Directors, attended the program on behalf of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB). ​​

At the Türkiye-EU High-Level Business Forum held in Brussels with the participation of Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and Maroš Šefčovič, the EU Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, TOBB was represented by Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (IKV) and President of the Kocaeli Chamber of Industry.​

Organized jointly by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), with the support of the Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TATSO) and the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Türkiye), the 4th Turkish-German Economic Conference, TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz met with Dr. Martin Wansleben, former Secretary General of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Omar Choura, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Choura Investment Holding Group. ​

The TIR Committee of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) met via videoconference. During the meeting, applications from companies for admission to the TIR System and company files raised in the context of international transportation activities were discussed and decisions were made. ​
