Specialized Vocational Training Centers ( UMEM)Project started up according to the aggrement signed among The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Ministry of National Education and TOBB Economy and Technology University in 20 th July 2010.

The main purpose of the project is to find  permanent and sustainable solutions to vocational education problems through public and private sector partnership.

 

By the project, the needs of labor market will be analyzed and according to the solutions of this anaysis, machinery/ equipment needs of 111 schools in 81 prvinces will be satisfied and training of trainers will be ensured due to these needs. Furthermore, vocational training courses will be started due to the needs of private sector and unemployed people who are registered to the İSKUR database will be signed up to these courses. The courses are composed of both training and internship. The aim of the project is to set the unemployed people who are succesful at the courses up in business.

 

İn this framework, the tasks related to this project is carried out by Dıvısıon of SME Research and Consultancy Center.

Coordination Council for the improvement of the investment environment in Turkey

Coordination Council for the improvement of the investment environment has come into effect by the decision of Council of Ministers. The Division of SME Research and Consultancy Center coordinates the working group meetings in order to determine the comments of the Union (TOBB) which will be presented to the Technical  Comittees and the Steering Comitee  that has been established with the aim of coordinating and monitoring the works of the Technical Committees, and helping the agenda setting process of the Committees.

Moreover; the Division attends tosthe meetings of SMEs Technical Comittee, R&D Technical Comittee and reports the meetings of the working groups that are established within TOBB.

SME Strategy and Action Plan  

SME Strategy and Action Plan was accepted as a medium term strategy document by Planing Board in order to determine the fundemantal strategies for SMEs and to state the actions that are necessary and have priority.

After the first action plan, 2007-2009 action plan was accepted and after that, the studies for 2011-2013 action plan was carried out. The Division of SME Research and Consultancy Center participated to these studies under the secretariat of KOSGEB.

 

In order to inroduce the government supports for SMEs and help them to achieve all the information that may be needed during their life-cycle, SME Info web site (www.kobi.org.tr)  was set up according to the Prime Minister Circular with the coordination of the Union (TOBB).

 

At this web site various kinds of information that may be needed by SMEs are given by 111headings and 150 sub headings. More than 40 institutions provide information to the web site.

 

Division of SME Research and Consultancy Center coordinates the institutions that provide information and updates the information taking place on the web site

KOSGEB Executive Comitee meetings

KOSGEB Executive Comitee is convened by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in order to make decisions about development of small and medium sized industrial companies.

The comitee  convenes approximately once in every four months according to the agenda prepared by KOSGEB and Dıvısıon of SME Research and Consultancy Center carries out the studies about preperation, attendance and follows the decisions made by the Comitee.
