55% discount from TOBB on TIR Carnets used for transportation to the Continent of Europe

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) is providing important support for the transportation and logistics sector. TIR Carnet prices, which are 227 TRY for transportation to the European continent, have received a discount of 55%, bringing the price to 102 TRY.​
TOBB, which contributed to the sector by not reflecting the sudden increase in foreign currency in 2018 to TIR Carnet prices, managed to get a positive result from its negotiations with the International Road Transport Association (IRU) to reduce the base cost of the TIR Carnet in search of a more sustainable solution.
The end-user price for Turkey's new model TIR Carnet (TUR-EU 6-leaf) for transportation in a limited geographic area with European countries (EU, EFTA and Balkan countries) is approximately 102 TRY (16.50 CHF).
Accordingly, the TIR Carnet, which corresponds to the 100,000 Euro guarantee limit, will be able to transport at a cost of approximately TL 102. This new application will begin in the first half of this month (January).
