U.S. Business Seminar held at TOBB

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, the Undersecretariat for Commerce and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the “Doing Business Seminar in the United States” was held.
The opening speeches of the seminar were delivered by Faik Yavuz, TOBB Board Treasurer and William Czajkowski, Undersecretary of Commerce at the U.S. Embassy.
Following the seminar, “SelectUSA Program” by US Assistant Attaché Yaprak Çakılcıoğlu and “Introduction to the US Market in 12 steps” by Avitus Group Representative Frank Levene presentations were made.
Of those taking part in the seminar Ada Strategies Representative Zeynep Sönmez İhtiyar provided detailed information regarding investment and business visas; Güldal Şişman, Deputy General Manager of Vakıf Bank USA on Commercial Banking; Att. Arzu Ongur, Managing Partner of Law & Consulting Bureau of “Ongur and Partners” on US Investment Law in the USA.
Via videoconference, Laurence Reszetar, Director of Foreign Investment at the Minnesota Trade Office, and Lauren A. Merkel, Director of Partnerships at the New York State Development Agency, gave information about the states of Minnesota and New York.
