Ankara TOBB Young Entrepreneurs Council Provincial Council was held at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce with the participation of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz.

TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz said in his speech, “As you know, it was an important day for our community. We have successfully held our 75th General Assembly with the participation of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Our TOBB President. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu asked me to convey to you his greetings and wish you success.”

Yavuz, stating that they formed the entrepreneurial committees in February, mentioned that they had elected the chairmen of the Board and the members of the provincial executive committee, “Our Council has contributed a lot in terms of raising awareness of entrepreneurism in Turkey. Young people today see entrepreneurship as a career option which is a testament to your efforts. We must understand global trends before we build our future. Today, many technologies that are at the center of our lives weren’t even invented 10 years ago. In the list of the world's largest companies, the financial and energy companies used to be predominant. We are now seeing technology initiatives which didn’t even exist 15 years ago. Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple and Microsoft have a total value of over 3.5 trillion USD. The world is experiencing a platform revolution. In this period, the world's largest transport company owns no cars; the largest accommodation company in the world has no hotels; it is possible to be the world's largest retailer without holding product inventory. To be successful in the 21st century, we must either create the technology or integrate technology into our work. Being an entrepreneur was never as easy as it is now. It was difficult to access the information you needed when you were starting a business. Now information is everywhere. Just ask the right question. You have more opportunities than previous generations. There’s no making up for lost opportunities. You should consider it well.”
