Education Council discussed the place of private education institutions in general education

TOBB Turkey Education Council convened for the 6th meeting of the year in the Ankara TOBB Social Facilities with the attendance of the Ministry of Education (MEB) Undersecretary Emin Zararsız.
The meeting drew the attention of high level state, private sector and NGO representatives. Council members discussed what could be done in order to raise the 3% share of private education institutions in general education and assessed the problems of the sector while reviewing proposed solutions.
Ministry of Education Undersecretary Emin Zararsız provided detailed information regarding the restructuring done in the Ministry of Education. MEB Innovation and Education Technologies Deputy General Director Tunay Alkan provided information on the “Fatih Project”.
MEB Private Education Institutions Deputy General Director Mustafa Çandır provided information regarding the legislative changes made regarding private schools, courses and rehabilitation centers.
