Natural Gas Council visited Undersecretary Kilci and National Assembly Energy Commission

TOBB Turkey Natural Gas Council Board of Directors visited the Undersecretary of the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry Metin Kilci and the Grand National Assembly Industry, Commerce, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission President Mahmut Mücait Fındıklı.​

 

- Visit to Kilci

TOBB Turkey Natural Gas Council President İbrahim Akbal and Vice President Eyüp Aratay, Erdoğan Arkış and Altan Kolbay were part of the committee visiting Undersecretary Metin Kilci.

Informing Metin Kilci regarding the works of the Turkey Natural Gas Council, the committee relayed the views of the council regarding the Natural Gas Marker Law #4646.

Expressing gratification for the establishment of the Turkey Natural Gas Council under TOBB and encompassing all parts of the sector, Undersecretary Kilci stated that the Council was an important step towards the liberalization of the market and the development of the sector.

- Visit to Fındıklı

TOBB Turkey Natural Gas Council Board of Directors visited the Grand National Assembly Industry, Commerce, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission President Mahmut Mücait Fındıklı in his office to discuss troubles and expectations of the sector.

Turkey Natural Gas Council and their views on Natural Gas Market Law #4646 were relayed to the members of the Commission who attended the meeting.

Mahmut Mücahit Fındıklı stated that even though the natural gas sector is a relatively new formation in comparison with the other energy groups, it has succeeded in implementing a successful system and that he believed the Turkey Natural Gas Council would continue to grow stronger and be an important advance towards the liberalization of the market.

- “Commission members will meet with the sector”

The commission members attending the meeting stated their wishes for a fair and competitive market structure and that frequent meetings between sector representatives and the commission would be beneficial.

It was decided that a meeting would be held in the coming term between the Grand National Assembly Industry, Commerce, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology Commission and Turkey Natural Gas Council representatives.
