Intense interest in vocational schools at LGS

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the 104 of the 106 programs in the vocational schools organized via Ministry of National Education (MEB), Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETU) cooperation with have been completely filled, while the average occupancy rate of all programs under the protocol is 99.28%.​

Noting that they invited prospective students who entered the LGS exams on July 17, 2020, and their families to pick vocational high schools ran via the cooperation of MEB, TOBB and TOBB ETU with the slogan 'the Gates of Specialization Await You,' Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “During the preference period, intensive promotional activity was carried out in the provinces and districts. LGS 2020 placement results were announced today. According to the results of the placement, 104 of the 106 programs in our vocational schools under the protocol have been completely filled. The average occupancy rate of all programs under the protocol also increased compared to last year to 99.28%.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they believe in vocational education for the creation of Turkey's qualified workforce as TOBB and the chamber-exchange community, “With this vision, we will meet our entrepreneurs with a qualified workforce which has passed through a gate of specialization. As in the past, we will continue to make the necessary investment in vocational education as a community in the coming period.”

“I congratulate all our students and their families who, believing in vocational education, picked our schools to take steps in this field to their own futures,” said TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, “I would like to thank Our Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk, Deputy Minister Mahmut Özer, Our General Manager Kemal Varin Numanoğlu and all the relevant bureaucrats of the Ministry of National Education, provincial principals and school principals for their support in vocational education. I would like to thank our Chambers and Exchanges who promoted and invested in vocational education in their provinces and districts.”
