The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the joint council meeting of Kahramanmaraş province/district chamber/commodity exchange organized via video conference.

At the beginning of his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Şahin Balcıoğlu, who took over the Presidency of Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and conveyed his well wishes and thanked Serdar Zabun for his many important actions for the development and enrichment of Kahramanmaraş during his presidency.

Stating that TOBB is in constant consultation with Chamber and Exchanges in 81 provinces, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Through our Chamber-Commodity Exchange Presidents, we took note of your problems every day. Then we talked to the Ministers one-on-one to resolve them. We presented the government with a 70-point set of proposals. A significant part of this has come to life. Tax and SSI payments in various sectors have been postponed. The scope of the short work allowance has been expanded, making jobs faster. Various loan packages for our companies have been implemented. Finally, we started the Breath Credits with Denizbank. 7.5% interest, no payments in 2020, payable in 2021. We expect the public banks to participate soon.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that new issues and problems arise every day, “This is a dynamic process. Therefore, we are in contact with our members without breaks and continue to collect your issues and suggestions. I am also proud to see that our Maraş Chambers and Exchanges work with vision and continue to serve our members. You, both the management, the council and the professional committees, are working hard, keeping the pulse of our members and becoming interpreters for them. May Allah be pleased with you for all your work. Hopefully we will leave these difficult days behind us together.”
