Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey President and Co-Chairman of the Turkish Wing of the Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, and Panagiotis Gkofas, Co-Chairman of the EU Wing, met at a working dinner in İstanbul last night. Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Faruk Kaymakçı attended part of the dinner.

Turkey-EU GCC Co-Chairs, who met for the first time after the Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee meeting in April 2019, discussed developments in Turkey and the EU, Turkey-EU relations and Turkey-EU GCC 2020 program. The working dinner emphasized the importance of dialogue between Turkey and the EU as well as the constructive and bridge-building role of the JCC, which brings together Turkey and EU NGOs.

Consensus was also reached between the Co-Chairs on the march of the first meeting of Turkey-EU GCC 2020.
