TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening ceremony of the TOBB Anatolian Imam Hatip High School and Dorm in Karakoçan district of Elazığ as well as the mosque built by Elazığ Commodity Exchange Chair Mehmet Ali Dumandağ. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that today’s biggest capital is educated people, not gold or oil.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he is asked everywhere he goes why he invests so much in education, he said, “The way to establish prosperity, unity and solidarity is through education.”


Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that every investment has risk, “You can profit and you can lose. When you invest in education, you will never lose.”


Hisarcıklıoğlu said:


“Today, the greatest capital is not gold or oil but educated people. I hope the young people who will graduate from this school will grow up knowing both national and moral values ​​as well as having the knowledge and the will to do good for their families, cities and countries. If we maintain our partnership, none can stand before us. I hope that this school will benefit both Elazığ and Turkey.”

Bülent Tüfenkci, Minister of Customs and Commerce, thanked TOBB for the support they provided, and congratulated Dumandağ for having his mosque built.


Elazığ Governor Murat Zorluoğlu, Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Idris Alan and Elazığ Commodity Exchange President Dumandağ also spoke at the event.


A plaque was presented to Minister Tüfenkci and Hisarcıklıoğlu following the speeches.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister of Customs and Trade Bülent Tüfenkci attended the opening ceremony of Karakoçan Branch of the Elazığ Commodity Exchange. Hisarcıklıoğlu and Minister Bulent Tüfenkci took photographs together with the participants to commemorate the occasion.
