Hisarcıklıoğlu's statement is as follows:

"May 19^th, 1919, is one of the most special pages of our glorious history. On that date, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk sowed the seeds of independence in our lands under occupation by invasion forces; the whole world has seen how these seeds have found purchase and bloomed as independence flowers all over our country.

The young people of this country and the new generations they will raise are the greatest protectors and owners of our country.

In the footsteps of great Atatürk, who trusted in youth and saw our future in them; as the Turkish business community we say: Turkey's entrepreneurial young people, their superior intellect, are our greatest security in race of civilizations.

Let none doubt that our youth people will carry us onto bright tomorrows.

With these sentiments and thoughts I celebrate the May 19^th Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day; I once again remember our veterans and martyrs with respect and gratitude.”
