Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum meets with Tashkent Ambassador Bekar

The Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum met with Tashkent Ambassador Olgan Bekar online. During the meeting, Osman Doğan Şahlan, Co-Chair of the Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum, provided information about the work of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in Uzbekistan and conveyed his wishes of success to the Ambassador.​

In his speech, Şahlan noted the development of Turkey-Uzbekistan bilateral relations, especially with the inauguration of President Mirziyoyev in 2016, and gave information about concrete efforts such as the Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, TOBB ETU Tashkent, which were established in this process.

Ambassador Olgan Bekar stated that he will work to provide the necessary conditions to pave the way for business people in the appropriate political atmosphere between the two countries, adding that as the Embassy of Tashkent, they are always ready to help Turkish business people in all matters.

After the opening speeches, members of the Turkish Side of the Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum introduced themselves and conveyed their demands and problems for their trade relations with Uzbekistan to Tashkent Ambassador Olgan Bekar.

The Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum was established in 2017 by TOBB and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (UZCCI). The Turkish side of the Chamber is appointed by the President and its members TOBB, and the Uzbekistan side is appointed by UZCCI. Annual economic summits, joint board meetings, business forums, business meetings and efforts to improve Turkey-Uzbekistan relations are the main areas of study of the Turkish-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum.
