Zeki Kıvanç participated in the “Enerjisa, the Energy of My Business” webinar

Zeki Kıvanç, Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), participated in the “Energy of My Business” webinar, moderated by Prof. Dr. Emre Alkın, where presentations on energy efficiency legislation, solar energy technologies and applications, energy efficiency systems, green energy certification and project finance were discussed.​

In his opening speech, Kıvanç stated that Turkey meets more than two-thirds of its energy needs through imports, and that the energy sector's top priority is sustainability, i.e. security of supply, and the only way to achieve this goal is to use domestic energy resources efficiently.

Zeki Kıvanç, drawing attention to European Green Agreement and the obligations of the Agreement, said that green transformation is inevitable, that TOBB is closely following the issue and continuing the necessary work.

Zeki Kıvanç stated that TOBB worked with Enerjisa in the Turkish Energy Council and undertook social responsibility projects together, referring to the encouraged investments in order to ensure the insulation of existing buildings and to increase the minimum energy performance class from C to class B or A.

Zeki Kıvanç stated that he sees energy efficiency as an indispensable element for companies and that they should allocate resources to these projects.
