Automotive Supply Industry Council convened

TOBB Turkey Automotive Supply Industry Council meeting was held via video conference under the chairmanship of TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and Council President Alper Kanca.​

Ayhan Zeytinoğlu said that with the pandemic process, councils began to meet more often and the momentum it achieved was gratifying.

Zeytinoğlu stated that very close contact was established with both the Sector Councils and chambers/exchanges from the beginning of the process, and that they contributed to the resolution of the forwarded demands, that they met with 6 Ministers and the President of the Central Bank under the chairmanship of Treasury and Finance Minister Lütfi Elvan on November 28, 2020, and that they conveyed the problems and demands of the 60 Councils to them one by one, and that Council President Alper Kanca conveyed the problems and demands of the Automotive Supply Industry Council to the Ministers.

Council President Alper Kanca relayed the automotive industry 2020 assessment with the figures and 2021 predictions.  The opinions of Council members were taken on new technologies in automotive, problems affecting the sector, financial difficulties, shortages in material supply, flexible working, energy prices and paving the way for new projects of global automotive companies.

At the meeting where the election of the Council Vice President was also held, TAYSAD Secretary General V. Sevgi Özçelik was elected Vice President by consensus.
