Number of Industrial Capacity Reports approved in September increased by 12.1%

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in September 2020 increased by 12.1% (455) to 4,202 compared to September 2019 (3,747). The number of capacity reports approved in the first 9 months of 2020 (31,816) decreased by 1.7% (557) compared to the first 9 months of 2019 (32,373).​
Of the 4,202 capacity report approved in September; 1,223 were in Istanbul, 311 in Bursa, 281 in Ankara, 259 in Izmir, 198 in Konya, 180 in Gaziantep, 170 in Kocaeli, 109 in Tekirdag, 89 in Adana and Denizli.
The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased from 74,821 in September 2019 to 77,565 in September 2020, an increase of 3.7% (2,744).
According to Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 2.3% (73,920 units) from 3,167,899 in September 2019 to 3,241,819 in September 2020.
Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
