TOBB Turkey Defense Industry Board President Yılmaz Küçükseyhan stated that with the “Citation for Market Research and Market Entry Support” cost compensation support for sector commerce committees put together by exporter unions as well as providing support for the sector committees tasked by promoter organizations for the proliferation of cooperative associations has been achieved.​ ​

SMEs must be supported in order to compete with developed countries

“2011-2013 SME Strategy and Action Plan (KSEP)” was announced in a press conference at Dolmabahçe Prime Ministry Office in Istanbul. TOBB Deputy Chairman and Istanbul Commerce Chamber (ITO) President Murat Yalçıntaş stated, “If we, as Turkey, are to compete with developed countries, if we are to surpass them in our goals, so must we support our SMEs, must stand behind our small enterprises.”​ ​

Our economy cannot grow without the insurance sector

Speaking at the Insurance Summit, organized by the Ministry of State and Deputy Prime Ministry with the assistance of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Association of The Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Turkey (TSRŞB) held at the Maslak Sheraton Hotel, TOBB Board Member Ender Yorgancılar stated that Turkey has gained significant ground in the last years and with a focus on private sector, the economy has grown by 55% in the last 9 years.​ ​

Three more medals and three records from our record-holder swimmer Dellaloğlu

Timur Dellaloğlu, Balkans and Turkey record-holder national swimmer and TOBB ETU fellowship student, achieved 3 more records. Dellaloğlu competed in the ‘8th Turkey Koç University Sports Games’ through 9-15 May, 2011 as part of the TOBB ETU Swim Team.  Competing in 3 individual events won gold in the 100m and 200m breaststroke as well as the 200m freestyle, breaking the games records in all events.​ ​

The number of the newly established companies decreased by 9,00 % in April 2011 with respect to previous month.

The number of the newly established companies decreased by 9,00 %,  the number of the newly established cooperatives decreased by 27,27 % and the number of the newly established sole proprietorships increased by 7,71 %  according to the previous month.​ ​

‘Turkish Speaking Entrepreneurs’ in search of partnerships

Nearly 45 Turkish speaking entrepreneurs from 21 countries and 3 autonomous zones met at TOBB. This year marks the twelfth convention of the program, in which to date 367 businessmen have attended.​ ​

Hakan Güldağ elected for TOBB Turkey Media and Communication Assembly President

The TOBB Turkey Media and Communication Assembly meeting, attended by TOBB Board of Administrator Member Harun Karacan, was held in order to elect a president and vice-president. The election results show Dünya Gazette Publications Director Hakan Güldağ as president and Turkey Gazetteers Community Deputy President Vahap Munyar as vice-president.
