PM Davutoğlu attends TOBB’s arbitration meeting

Prime Minister Davutoğlu attended the arbitration meeting of NGO representatives and TOBB’s local organizations hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his opening speech, “We cannot let the seeds of hate be planted in our society, to have our children be tricked into being sacrificed to such heinous ploys. We cannot allow our future, peace and prosperity to be threatened. We must foil these ploys.”​

NGOs urge common sense

In regards to the saddening developments of the last few days throughout the country, non-governmental organizations have issued a message urging common sense. The EU-Turkey Joint Arbitration Committee (KİK) Turkey Member Civil Society Organizations; Presidents and Directors of Hak-İş, Kamu-Sen, Memur-Sen, TZOB, TİSK, TESK, Türk-İş and TOBB convened at the TOBB Twin Towers to hold a joint press meeting. Civil society organizations’ hospital visit to Bingöl Security Chief

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with the presidents of KAMU-SEN, MEMUR-SEN, HAK-İŞ, TÜRK-İŞ, TZOB and TİSK, visited the Bingöl Chief of Security, Atalay Ürker, at the Numune Training and Research Hospital where is undergoing treatment as a result of the armed assault on him.​

EU Minister Bozkır visited TOBB

European Union (EU) Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkır visited TOBB. Also present during the visit were EU-Turkey Joint Arbitration Committee (KİK) Turkey Member NGO Presidents and representatives.​

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TESK President Bendevi Palandöken and Türk-İş General Director Ergün Atalay paid a condolatory visit to the Bingöl Security Chief Atalay Ülker at Numune Training and Research Hospital.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with CACCI President Inaishvili

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) President Jemal Inaishvili in Ankara. Inaishvili was elected as CACCI President during its 83rd General Assembly held in Kuala Lumpur between the 17th and 19th of September, 2014. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, elected CACCI Vice President during the same meeting, assessed the business schedule of the coming term, emphasizing the need for CACCI to be proactive throughout the G-20/B-20 process.​

OVP will act as a lighthouse and should also be put on a schedule

Assessing the Medium Term Program (2015-2017, OVP) announced today, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We consider the Medium Term Program prepared by our government during this time of surfacing uncertainty in the global economy to be very important. It will act as a lighthouse. It should also be put on a schedule and put into action accordingly.”​

First steps taken for BALO’s investment plans in Europe

Under TOBB’s leadership, the Great Anatolia Logistic Organization (BALO) and Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) Rail Cargo Austria (RCA) have signed a protocol for joint venture in Germany.​
