Providing information on TOBB’s works at the beginning of the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu touched on the subject of the famine in Africa, “We come from a culture which says ‘Those who eat while their neighbors are hungry aren’t one of us’. My wish from you is that you promote aid in your regions. Praise be that we do not have people dying from hunger in Turkey but there are indeed people dying in Africa. We have seen this first-hand.”

Stating that as TOBB, they have established the largest women’s organization in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu underscored the importance of women and young entrepreneurs, “We need to increase the number of our entrepreneurs. Please take care of women and young entrepreneurs. Enable them to be role models.”
Touching on the chamber and exchange system in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that OECD has chosen Turkey’s chamber system as the most efficient and has suggested to the whole world.
