While the Prime Minister Erdoğan, conducted the opening of the Field Hospital in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the other members of the retinue attempted to provide morale to the people and children of Somalia with their help.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, assessing the disaster zone, “You need to see the area to fully appreciate the people’s struggle to survive. We must reach out to help the people here, especially the children.”

- Visit to the tent hospital

Afterwards, Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the tent hospital maintained by the Turkey Health Ministry. The TOBB President embraced the Turkish and Somali flags presented to him, symbolizing aid and solidarity.

The Somalia visit Hisarcıklıoğlu and Yalçıntaş attended was made up of; Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, his wife Emine Erdoğan, his daughter Sümeyye Erdoğan, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoğlu, Family and Social Policy Minister Fatma Şahin, Minister of Health Recep Akdağ, Food, Agriculture and Livestock Minister Mehdi Eker, AK Party Vice Presidents Ömer Çelik and Nüket Hotar, AK Party Group Vice Chairman Ayşenur Bahçekapılı, AK Party General Center Women’s Branh President Güldal Akşit, Religious Affairs Directorate President Mehmet Görmez, member of the Grand National Assembly Nurettin Canikli, Mustafa Elitaş, Hakan Şükür, TÜSİAD President Ümit Boyner, Doğan Holding Board President Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ and artists Sertap Erener, Nihat Doğan, Ajda Pekkan and Muazzez Ersoy.

- Danger avoided during landing

The airplane carrying the TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Board Vice President Yalçıntaş narrowly avoided great danger while landing at Mogadishu in Somalia as the wing of the airplane impacted with the runway.
