Turkey Health Institutes Council Board visited the Social Security Institute (SGK) President Fatih Acar at his office. During the visit, attended by Council President Seyit Karaca, Council Vice Presidents Mehmet Altuğ and Banu Küçükel and Council member Necati Çanakçı, SGK President Acar was informed about the works of the Council.​

Presenting the “SGK Health Service Acquisition Contract Draft” and “Application Notification in Health (SUT)” reports, the Council President related the Council’s views on the subjects.

The developments occurring recently in the health sector, the applications of health policies and steps to establish a system and improve upon it, the Council President said, beneficial however the health sector suffers from several issues as a result.

- “We view the health sector as a part of us, not separate”

The Social Security Institution President Fatih Acar, stating that the state’s duty is to provide coordination and cooperation between private, state and university hospitals, said that private and state health sector are not considered separately but are instead complementary to each other and that the proliferation of the private sector will support the development of the country. Stating that they are an Institution very open to suggestions, Acar said that they had planned some new applications to ameliorate the workings of the health services.
