Bilateral Discussions with the Arab World

President of TOBB and DEİK, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended bilateral discussions with the representatives of the Arabian business world prior to the Turk-Arab Economic Forum in Istanbul. ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu also met with Iraq State Minister Ali Al Dabbagh and President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries (GUCCIAAC) Adnan Kassar and various business representatives at dinner the same day.


President of TOBB and DEİK, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with delegates from United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Syria and Iraq in bilateral discussions on the subject of joint partnerships.


All involved parties are determined to propagate collaborations
Turk-Arab economic relations were on the agenda during the dinner held after the bilateral discussions of the day. After the dinner which the Iraq State Minister Ali Al Dabbagh and GUCCIAAC President Adnan Kassar attended, TOBB and DEİK President Hisarcıklıoğlu gave a speech during which he thanked the guests for attending. GUCCIAAC President Kassar emphasized their wish to propagate collaborations between the Arab private sector and Turkey, saying that he believed the economic and cultural bond on both sides would flourish as a result of these bilateral discussions. Iraq State Minister Ali Al Dabbagh stated that he believed that businessmen would render political issues moot and that he would be delighted to have a more active private sector take hold in the region.
