Overland Passenger Transportation Council demands “standard” for coach stations

TOBB Turkey Overland Passenger Transportation Council convened in Istanbul. In the meeting, council members stated that coach station entry and exits are a burden on the sector; station entry fee maximums and work manner of coach stations must be reevaluated.​

It was touched upon that every coach station has its own rules and applications of those rules and that this must be standardized; it was decided that a legislative bill for the standardization of coach station regulations would be prepared and conveyed to the Ministry of Transportation.- Insurance training for the sectorStating that the sector has inadequacies in the insurance field, the Council plans to provide training for the sector with the aid of TOBB and relevant institutions. In this regard a training program will be conducted in Ankara and be spread out to other provinces afterwards.- License plate restriction causing problems in the sectorSector representatives stated that the license plate restrictions implemented to order and systemize the sector are having an adverse affect and causing a drop in quality and requested that it be reviewed.
