Turning 2011 to a Year of Reformation

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu made a presentation with the title “Turning 2011 to a Year of Reformation” at the Kartepe Economy Forum organized by Economy Journalists Association.​


Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey was within the five states which had the highest economic growth at 2010. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that this demonstrates the success of the private sector growing method.


TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the biggest problem of Turkey is unemployment. Also, Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the other major problem of Turkey is foreign trade for still the trade values before the economic crisis are not met. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu mentioned that Turkey discovered new markets to overcome the problem but could not succeed in reaching the previous trade values. Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed that the solution for Turkey is to overcome the current account deficit.


TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated his views on the new constitution as well. Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that everyone should contribute to the formation of the constitution which will be the case after the elections and added that a new constitution is necessary to strengthen the state institutions.
