Earthquake relief campaign from TOBB

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) has launched an aid campaign to heal the wounds of the earthquake, which occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces. Within the scope of the aid campaign launched under the coordination of AFAD, 365 Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, in-kind aid and construction equipment made by companies were dispatched to the earthquake region via trucks.​

Within the scope of the demands from the earthquake region, generator, construction machinery, tents, tube stoves, heaters, blankets, ready meals, canned food, sandwiches, takeaway bread, coats, biscuit types, lighting materials, breakfast packages, baby food, diapers, beds, quilts, coats, shoes, clothing, water, milk, food products, hygiene and basic necessities are included in the trucks. The aid is coordinated from the Crisis Desk established at TOBB.


As of February 07, 87 trucks of food, water and necessities, 59 trucks of clothing and blankets, 23,923 heaters, 40 construction machines, cranes, generators and 65 containers were delivered to the region.


As of February 08, 173 trucks have reached the earthquake zone. As of February 8, a total of 106 trucks of food, water and necessities, 67 trucks of clothes and blankets, 25,400 heaters, 48 construction machines, cranes, generators, and 69 containers were delivered to the region.


As of February 09, 392 trucks reached the earthquake zone. As of February 9, a total of 260 trucks of food, water and necessities, 132 trucks of clothing and blankets, 41,136 heaters, 1946 construction machines, cranes, generators, 405 containers and tents, and 105 mobile toilets were delivered to the region.

A financial aid campaign was also launched by TOBB. The campaign was announced in a letter signed by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and sent to all Chambers and Commodity Exchanges in 81 provinces.
