Speaking at the Black Sea Regional meeting held via video conference, the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that during this difficult period, chambers and exchanges have a greater task and responsibility.

Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they communicated the problems in the field as quickly as possible by taking on the role of bridge between the business world and the government, “In this context, we presented a 70-point set of proposals to the government. A lot of them have come to life, and they continue to be addressed. Apart from that, we continue to submit our suggestions. Because it's a dynamic process. Every day, a new issue, a new nuisance arises. Therefore, we are in contact with our members without any interruptions and continue to note their difficulties and suggestions.”

Stating that chamber/commodity exchange presidents are working with this vision, serving their members, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed how proud he is to see this, “All of my presidents, all of them are working tooth and nail; they keep our members' pulse, they become interpreters. They prepare and conveys proposals to us.”

On the issue of the outbreak, the government on the one hand taking measures in the field of health, on the other hand, preparing and implementing measures to keep the economy alive, the TOBB President said: “Praise Allah, now we have started to talk about the normalization process. We, as TOBB, contribute to the support packages prepared for the economy, and now we contribute to the planning of the normalization process. Of course, here we need to adjust the balance between health and livelihood. I believe that if we carry out the normalization process in a well-planned manner, we will overcome this process with minimal damage. I hope we will leave these difficult days behind together.”
